Implant Surgeon, Medical Doctor, Dental Sedationist & Specialist Periodontist

Dr Vipul Patel is the visiting Periodontist at Cherry Trees. He is dually qualified in Medicine and Dentistry and has a wide experience in Medicine, Surgery, Implants & Sedation. He undertakes all aspects of Periodontology, to include periodontal regeneration/resection, hard/soft tissue grafting around teeth/implants; in addition to implant placement/restoration and advanced anaesthesia using intravenous sedation. He joined Cherry Trees Dental Practice in 2013.

Dr Vipul completed 3-years full-time Specialist Periodontal and Implant training at the world-renowned Eastman Dental Institute, University College London, which culminated in a Masters in Clinical Dentistry and a Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training from the European Federation of Periodontology. He was awarded Memberships in Periodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons of England & Edinburgh.

To widen his knowledge and skills base he has also completed Postgraduate Diploma’s in both Implant Dentistry and Conscious Sedation.

Due to his breadth and depth of clinical and surgical experience he provides an unparalleled and unique level of care to his patients.

Mr John Tighe

Mr John Tighe has worked at the Cherry Trees practice since 2001 undertaking a weekly session carrying out the oral surgical needs of the practice.

Dr Ioana Pop

Dr Ioana Pop is the visiting Endodontist at Cherry Trees Dental Practice. She has extensive hospital training and experience in Oral Surgery, IV Sedation and Endodontics.

Dr Zahra Nimaa

Dr Zahra Nimaa graduated from Kings College London in 2014 with honours. She has since worked extensively in various dental and surgical specialties in hospitals in and around London.

Dr Mariella Mackinlay

Clinician

Dr Mariella Mackinlay graduated from Cardiff University in 2019 with honours and completed Foundation Training with the London KSS Deanery. She has worked in General Practice ever since.
