Katerina qualified as a dental nurse in 2018 and in 2023 completed a BSc in Dental Therapy and Hygiene at King’s College London.

Katerina’s main passion is maintaining gum health and educating patients about oral hygiene. The most rewarding part of working as a dental hygienist is to be able to improve oral health and prevent tooth loss, which inevitably has an impact on the overall health and a patient’s quality of life.

In her spare time, Katerina enjoys yoga, walking, gardening, reading and travelling.

Dr Mark Byrne has been the Principal Dental Surgeon at Cherry Trees Dental Practice since 1987, qualifying from Trinity College Dublin in 1984.

Mr John Tighe

Mr John Tighe has worked at the Cherry Trees practice since 2001 undertaking a weekly session carrying out the oral surgical needs of the practice.

Dr Ioana Pop

Dr Ioana Pop is the visiting Endodontist at Cherry Trees Dental Practice. She has extensive hospital training and experience in Oral Surgery, IV Sedation and Endodontics.

Dr Vipul Patel

Dr Vipul Patel is the visiting Periodontist at Cherry Trees. He is dually qualified in Medicine and Dentistry and has a wide experience in Medicine, Surgery, Implants & Sedation.

Dr Zahra Nimaa

Dr Zahra Nimaa graduated from Kings College London in 2014 with honours. She has since worked extensively in various dental and surgical specialties in hospitals in and around London.

Dr Mariella Mackinlay

Dr Mariella Mackinlay graduated from Cardiff University in 2019 with honours and completed Foundation Training with the London KSS Deanery. She has worked in General Practice ever since.
